Would, but dont have prot gear. Decided to DE any I had since I was raiding content where my gear would never be used.

[2] How much raiding experience do you have? List all zones cleared in "Vanilla" WoW, TBC, and now WotLK.
MC / BWL /AQ20 / AQ40 / Naxx (Spider Wing Cleared)
In BC Kara / SSC / Hyjal
Currently have cleared all content except for Yogg / Heroic Anub 10 / and all ToGC 25

[3] Do you have any other MMO-playing experience?
Runescape? lol that's about it.

[4] If you have been in prior guilds, what was your reason for leaving and why did you choose <Excalion>?
Currently in Onslaught. They are not much for progression and I want to be clearing the best this game has to offer (or at least be attempting to). My RL friend told me Excalion might be a good fit for me.

Play college baseball, but that won't be an issue until Spring and that will only occur a couple nights a week.

You're over the soft hit cap, and still gemming for it. You're way over the expertise cap, which is somewhat understandable b/c of you sword. Your selection of weapon enchants is pretty sad, your bracers and your chest isn't enchanted, and your boot enchant sucks. You're still not Hodir exalted. You still have blue gems. Your meta is not the best choice. You also get a higher SEP value for orange gems over yellow gems when gemming for bonuses. LOL @ no imp cleave. The execution glyph was so 3.2 Your professions aren't even maxed, and you're not even able to use them to "buff/enchat/gem" your own gear.

nah he's right, I haven't done the research I really should have. The bracers and chest I got last week and I've got the nice piggy flu right now so I haven't gotten around to enchanting them. Professions wise he's right too, I just haven't put in the time yet.

I don't know if you have the badges, but you can replace the expertise Naxx ring w/ the ilvl 245 agi/arp ring. It's the best ring you're going to get pre-ToGC. Our 4 PC is insanely good too. I think it's a 240 odd DPS increase not including the gear upgrades.

Can I ask what gems you recommend for what color slots? I know to stack as much Strength as you can but I want your input on it.

only gem red and orange when over expertise soft and hit soft cap. (6.40% dodge reduction, 8% hit) the only time you gem orange for bonuses is when it has an sep value of over 20. the red gem is the bench mark for this number. theyellow crit gem has an sep value of ~16 and the orange has a sep value of ~19 (probably around 17 or 18 for you). the sep value of crit will change as your gear gets better. so, anything with a gem bonus that will push you over 20 sep w/ an orange gem; 4 str, 4 ArP, 4 crit, 4 ap, and any higher values of the stats listed (haste will eventually be worth gemming for at ArP cap). don't use blue gems, change your meta, and get a nightmare's tear; gem for you best blue slot gem bonus.
